Group SHINee member Jonghyun (real name Kim Jonghyun) was found dead on the afternoon of the 18th.
According to a police station in Gangnam, Seoul, Jonghyun lived a residence in Cheongdam - dong, Seoul, and lived his life with lignite. It was confirmed that Jonghyun decided to stay at the residence for two nights at 12:00 pm on that day and checked in.
Jonghyun's sister, reported at 4:42 pm, "I think my brother tried to commit suicide but I can not reach him."
Police and 119 rescue workers found Jonghyun, a cardiac arrest, at 6:10 pm, but they were transferred to Konkuk University Hospital in Seoul. The estimated death time is 6:32 pm.
Jonghyun sent a letter to her sister, saying, "It has been hard for me," "Send me to heaven," "Tell me you've had a hard time," and "Last greeting." He was revealed to have sent letters to his sister Kim on the 16th that he was suffering from depression.
When the rescue team opened the door of the room where Jonghyun was staying, the room was full of smoke and there was a charcoal object in the pot above the table. Jonghyun was lying on the floor between the bed and the table, and a sign of vomiting was also found.
A police official said, "We did not find a suicide note on the spot," he said.
Jonghyun made his debut in 2008 with SHINee's mini album 'Nunan So Pretty'. Since then, he has been loved by fans such as 'Lucifer', 'Ring Ding Dong', 'Juliet', and 'Dream Girl'.
He has been on MBC radio 'Blue Night' for three years from 2014. In January 2015, he released his mini album 'BASE' and started his solo career. He also showed various charms as a solo singer along with his SHINee activities.
